Acknowledgement from the family of the late Sean Magee

We, the family of the late Sean Magee (R.I.P), wish to express our thanks and gratitude to everyone who supported and sympathised with us during our recent bereavement. 

We would like to thank friends and family who provided great encouragement, comfort and spent time with Sean during his short illness.  We are fortunate and forever grateful to each of you who came to visit and joined us to remember his life and say goodbye at his funeral service. 

The care and attention Sean received from the staff of Maghera Medical Centre, Dr. McNeil, Antrim Area Hospital, the Oncology Department at the City Hospital (Belfast), and in particular the district nurses (Leah and team) and the Macmillan Nurses was exceptional and had such a positive impact on Sean's’ final weeks. 

We are thankful for the spiritual guidance received from Father Graham during his many visits to Sean and for the very personal requiem mass.  Thanks to Una Magill for the beautiful music and to Lavey GAC for the refreshments. A special thanks to J.A. Gormley Funeral Directors for the professional, compassionate and dignified way in which they conducted the funeral arrangements and supported us throughout the wake, funeral and days following. 

It would be impossible to thank everyone individually, and ‘thank you’ would never be enough to explain how grateful we are for the support and thoughtfulness we have received during this time, we hope that this acknowledgement will serve as an expression of our sincere appreciation.

Sean's Months Mind Mass will be celebrated on Saturday 20th December at 6pm in St. Mary's Church, Lavey.
