The family of the late John Mulholland wish to extend our heartfelt thanks to all who sympathised with us during our recent bereavement. We are deeply grateful to everyone who visited our home and attended the funeral, many of whom travelled long distances to be with us. Thank you also to those who sent Mass and sympathy cards, brought flowers, and offered their support. A special word of thanks to all who provided food and to our extended family who kindly undertook the catering during the wake.

We wish to express our sincere gratitude to Dr. Gráinne McGurk and all the staff at Kilrea Health Centre, the medical and caring staff of the hospitals John attended , Ann’s Carers, the district and community nurses, Macmillan nurses, social workers, and Shields Pharmacy for their exceptional care and support to John and to us as a family.

Our heartfelt thanks go to Father Charles Keaney for his kindness and support, and for celebrating John’s Requiem Mass with such a moving ceremony. We also thank Fr. Patrick Doherty, Fr. Kieran O’Doherty, Fr. Raymond McCullagh, Fr. Patrick Lagan and Fr. John McKeever for their presence and prayers at our home. We are grateful to Faoiltiarna Burke for her beautiful music and singing at the Requiem Mass, to Colin Elliot for his moving violin tribute to John, and to the sacristan and Eucharistic Minister who assisted at the Mass.

We sincerely thank the students and staff of Saint Pius X College, Magherafelt, and Dominican College, Portstewart, for providing a touching Guard of Honour.

Thank you also to Michael Davitt GAA Club for their support, and to Friel’s Bar and Restaurant, Swatragh, for providing the post-funeral refreshments and to all who assisted in serving them.

We are especially grateful to J. A. Gormley Funeral Directors for their support and for the caring, professional and dignified manner in which all funeral arrangements were carried out. Thanks also to those who prepared the grave.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our deep appreciation. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass has been offered for all your intentions.

John’s Month’s Mind Mass was celebrated in St. John’s Church, Granaghan, Swatragh, on Saturday 20th September at 4pm.
