The family of the late Connor Carmichael wish to extend their heartfelt thanks to all who sympathised with them during their recent bereavement.

We are deeply grateful for everyone who called at his sister’s house for Connor’s wake and attended the funeral, many of whom travelled long distances to be with us. Thank you to all who sent sympathy cards, flowers, left messages on facebook and offered their support. A special word of thanks to those who provided food and to our extended family and friends who were a great support during the time waiting to get Connor home and during his wake and funeral.

We wish to express our sincere gratitude to the medical staff and undertakers in Philadelphia, New Jersey and London for their diligent care for Connor.

Our special thanks go to Father Paddy Doherty and Father Kieran O’Doherty for their kindness and support and for celebrating Connor’s Requiem Mass with such a moving ceremony.

We are grateful to Siobhan, Ciara, Emma, Meabh and Niamh for their beautiful music and singing at the funeral, and to Sally the Sacristan, the grave diggers and all who assisted during the mass.

We sincerely thank Watty Grahams for their support and for providing the post funeral refreshments and to all who assisted in the preparation and serving of them.

We are especially grateful and thankful to J.A. Gormley Funeral Directors, Maghera & Coleraine for their support and for the professional and dignified manner in which all funeral arrangements were carried out and the support provided in getting Connor home.

We also wish to thank the Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust for the help, guidance and support in bringing Connor home to us.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our deep appreciation. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for all your intentions.

Connor’s month minds Mass was celebrated on Friday 14th November 2025 in St. Patrick’s Church, Glen at 7.30pm.
