We, the family of the late Tommy Heaney (Tom), would like to extend our deepest and most sincere thanks to everyone who offered sympathy, support, and kindness during the heartbreaking loss of our beloved father/grandfather.

Our heartfelt gratitude goes out to our extended family, friends, neighbours, and the wider community for the many ways you supported us throughout the wake and funeral. Your presence, compassion, and practical help meant more than words can express.

Thank you to everyone who attended the wake and funeral, those who brought food, sent Mass cards, letters, and messages of condolence, whether in person or online. We are especially grateful to those who travelled long distances to be with us—it brought great comfort to know how much our father was loved. We also wish to thank the local businesses who kindly provided refreshments during the wake and food following the funeral—your generosity did not go unnoticed.

We want to express our sincere appreciation to the staff at Maghera Medical Centre, particularly Dr. Catherine Monaghan, and the district nursing team. Our deepest thanks to Dr. Aaron Niblock & staff of Laurel House (Antrim Hospital), district nurses, N.I. Hospice staff, Marie Curie nurses, and carers who stood by daddy and helped us through many difficult moments with warmth and care.

To the carers from the Northern Health and Social Care Trust Homecare Team, and Ann’s Carers—thank you for your invaluable support to both daddy and our family. We are also thankful to Glass’ pharmacy for their kindness and assistance.

We are deeply grateful to Fr. Paddy Doherty (Glen) and Fr. Rev Charlie Keaney PP (Granaghan) for celebrating the requiem Mass for our father. Thank you also to The Gribben Girls and Jamie Toner for the beautiful music.

We’d like to extend heartfelt thanks to Michael and Nicholas of J.A. Gormley Funeral Directors for carrying out the arrangements with such professionalism and compassion.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this message as a token of our deepest appreciation and love.

Tommy’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated on Sunday 18th May 2025 in Granaghan Parish Church at 10.30am.
