Acknowledgement from the family of the late Barney Ledgewood

On behalf of all the family we would like to express our sincere gratitude to everyone who supported us in the loss of our lovely husband and daddy.

To all our amazing friends, neighbours and colleagues who helped and assisted. All those who attended the wake and funeral or sent mass and sympathy cards or messages of condolence. 

Thank you the paramedics, nursing staff at Antrim Area Hospital for their excellent care. To the care team who looked after Barney at home. To Dr. McNeill and all the staff at Maghera Health Centre for their continuous excellent care over the years. 

Special thanks to Fr. Paddy Doherty and Fr. Kieran O'Doherty for the beautiful requiem mass and providing communion for the sick in Barney's final weeks. 

Special thanks to Moira Crawley for the beautiful music throughout the funeral mass and Sean Doyle for the moving bagpipes to accompany Barney on his final journey. 

Additional thanks to Kelly’s Eurospar and Walsh’s Hotel for providing refreshments for the wake and funeral. It was a very kind gesture. 

Thank you to Michael and Nicholas Gormley of J. A. Gormley Funeral Directors, Maghera and Coleraine for their professionalism, care and dignity shown throughout and for giving our Daddy such a lovely send off. 

We cannot thank enough all those who helped in anyway during this time. 

Barney’s month's mind Mass was celebrated Friday 8th August at 7.30 pm in St. Patrick’s Church, Glen.
