Acknowledgement from the family of the late Henry Duggan

We, the family of the late Henry Duggan wish to express our heartfelt thanks and appreciation to all those who sympathised with us and provided support during our recent bereavement.

We were very touched by and grateful for everyone who attended the wake, came to the funeral or joined via the webcam. Many thanks to all those who brought food, helped at the wake and supported us in so many ways. Thanks also to those who brought or sent Mass cards, sympathy cards, flowers and letters, and those who shared messages of condolence online.

We offer sincere gratitude to Fr. Eamonn Graham and Fr. Paddy Doherty for their spiritual support and for celebrating the beautiful Requiem Mass. Thanks to the sacristans and all those who assisted at the Funeral Mass, with special thanks to Henry’s nieces, Una, Leona and Roisin for the uplifting singing and music.

We would like to express our deep gratitude to Ward A3 Antrim Area Hospital, the doctors and health visitors of Maghera Medical Practice, the Homecare Team, Marie Curie, Macmillan Care and Charis Cancer Centre. We will be forever indebted to them for the exceptional care, compassion and support that they gave to Henry throughout his illness.

Special thanks to J. A. Gormley Funeral Directors, Maghera and Coleraine for the very caring and dignified way in which they carried out the funeral arrangements, to those who prepared the grave, and to Lavey GAC for providing the refreshments after the funeral.

It is impossible to individually thank everyone whose kindness and support brought us such comfort. Please accept this acknowledgement as a heartfelt token of our gratitude and appreciation.

Henry’s Month’s Mind Mass will be on Friday 9th January at 7pm in St Mary’s Church, Lavey.
