Acknowledgement from the family of the late Garry Duffin

The family of the late Garry Duffin (Moneyglass), would like to express their heartfelt thanks to all who supported them during their recent bereavement.

We are truly grateful to everyone who called to the house, attended the wake, left food, sent Mass cards, letters and messages of sympathy, and to those who joined us at the funeral to pay their respects.

A special word of thanks to Fr Kevin McGuckian and Fr James O’Reilly for their spiritual care, visits to Garry during his illness, and for celebrating the requiem Mass. We are also deeply grateful to Leona Campbell for the beautiful singing, which added so much to the liturgy. Sincere thanks to the sacristans and gravediggers for their quiet dedication and professionalism throughout.

We would also like to thank the staff of Toome Medical Centre, Gribbin Pharmacy Toome, Leanne Devlin Hospice Nurse, District North Nurses for their kind and attentive care. Our appreciation also goes to the team of care assistants who supported Garry with such compassion. A special word of thanks as well to the team at MacMillan Cancer Unit, Antrim Area Hospital, where Garry received such dedicated and dignified care in his final days.

Our heartfelt appreciation goes to the volunteers at the St. Ergnats GAA Club who so generously prepared the hall, assisted with car parking stewarding at the wake. To JP Forbes at Moyola Golf Club for providing the refreshments - your time and effort meant a great deal to us.

Special thanks to Michael and Nicholas of J. A. Gormley Funeral Directors for their respectful and professional handling of all arrangements.

As it is impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a sincere expression of our deepest gratitude.

Garry’s Month’s Mind Mass was celebrated on Friday 1st August 2025 in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Moneyglass at 7pm.
