Acknowledgement from the family of the late Donal Convery

We the Convery family wish to express our sincere thanks and appreciation to everyone who supported and sympathised with us during our recent sad loss of a much-loved husband, father, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, great uncle and friend, Donal Convery (RIP).

Thank you to everyone who attended Donal’s wake and funeral Mass, those who watched online, sent cards, messages, letters, donations and posted tributes on social media.

We would like to thank all our extended family, neighbours, friends and local businesses who provided us with support and care throughout the wake and funeral.

Heartfelt thanks to Watty Graham’s Glen GAC for their organisation during the wake, providing a guard of honour at the funeral and to those who helped with refreshments after the funeral. We were overwhelmed by your love and support; a wonderful reflection of the community spirit which Donal was so proud to be a part of.

A special thanks to Fr. Doherty, Fr. Lagan and Fr. O’Doherty who concelebrated the Requiem Mass. We greatly appreciated the support and spiritual comfort provided by Fr. Paddy in the days prior to Donal’s death and for his very fitting eulogy. It brought great solace to our family.

We wish to express our deep gratitude to Hannah, Alison, Neil, Donal, Mairead and Maureen who provided the beautiful music and to all those who contributed to Donal’s requiem Mass.

Sincere thanks to the staff and pupils of St. Patrick’s College, Maghera, St. Mary’s PS, Glenview and St, Patrick’s PS, Moneymore for the guard of honour.

Special thanks to Michael and Nicholas Gormley of J.A. Gormley Funeral Directors Maghera & Coleraine for their professional and caring support in carrying out all funeral arrangements.

We also wish to thank the staff of Glen graveyard and the sacristan for their preparation of the grave and funeral Mass.

Thank you to Dr. McNeill, Dr. Faulkner and all the nursing staff at Maghera Health Centre as well as the  Doctors and nurses  from the  Cancer Centre in the City Hospital for their outstanding care of Donal during his long illness. Our thanks also to Vincent and the staff at Harkin’s Pharmacy, Maghera.

As it is impossible to thank everyone individually, we hope this acknowledgement will be accepted by all with our heartfelt thanks. The Holy sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for all your intentions.

Donal’s months mind Mass was celebrated on Friday 15th March at 7:30pm in St. Patrick’s Church, Glen.

Donal will live on in our hearts forever.
