Acknowledgement from the family of the late Patsy Breen

The Wife Rosemary and family of the late Patrick (Patsy) Breen who sadly passed away on 17th April 2024 wish to express our sincere thanks and appreciation to everyone who sympathised with us on our recent bereavement.

Thanks to everyone who attended Patsy’s wake and Requiem Mass. To those who sent cards and letters and posted messages on social media. We are truly grateful.

Also, to everyone who gave donations in lieu of flowers to the Renal Unit at Antrim Area Hospital.

A sincere thanks to Fr. Neill Farren and Fr. Damien McCaughan who attended Patsy in Hospital and thanks to Fr. N. Varaghese (St. Malachy’s) who attended Patsy at home and hospital for his support to the family. Thanks also to Fr. McGirr and Fr. McGuigan who co-celebrated the Requiem Mass. Thank you also to the Gribben Girls for the beautiful music.

We are eternally grateful for the professional care and compassion provided by A&E Department, Medical 2 and the Palliative care team in Causeway Hospital. We would also like to thank the staff at the Renal Unit at Antrim Area Hospital who looked after Patsy so well, to the wonderful Ambulance Crew in Coleraine who were very kind and caring. To the District Nurses and GPs of Lodge Health Centre who attended to Patsy at Home, also a final thanks to all his carers who gave him great care at home.

Thanks to all the members of the GAA family for their tributes to Patsy and attendance at the Funeral.

Special thanks to Micheal and Nicholas of J. A. Gormley Funeral Directors, Maghera and Coleraine for the professional and dignified way in which they carried out the funeral arrangements and to Gavin Toner who prepared Patsy’s final resting place.

As it is impossible to thank everyone individually, we hope that this acknowledgement will be accepted by all with our heartfelt thanks.

The Holy Sacrifice of the mass will be offered for your intentions.

Patsy’s Month Mind Mass was celebrated on Friday 17th May at 7:30pm at The Holy Rosary Church, Ballinascreen.
