Maura Gormley

Gormley (née Doyle) Desertmartin 20th June 2025 Mary Louisa (Maura) RIP. Formerly Garristown, Santry and Port na Blagh. Peacefully at home after a long illness borne with acceptance and grace - in the presence of her loving family. Beloved wife of Brian (Brian Óg), devoted mother to Brian, Mary Gallagher, Claire Brides, Maeve Ferguson, Kevin (Fionnuala) and Stephen. Predeceased by her daughter Elizabeth Ann and her father and mother Bob and Louie Doyle. Cherished Granny Maura to her grandchildren Áine, Cormac, Siobhán, Eimear, Eoghan, Hugh, Dara, Daniel, Jack, Rebecca and Síobhra. Much loved sister of Robert (Joan) and Ann Fitzgerald (Walter). Sadly, missed by sons-in-law Rónán, Michael, Paul and daughter-in-law Fionnuala.

Funeral was from her home 23 Tobermore Road, Desertmartin BT45 5LD on Monday 23rd June 2025 for 1pm Requiem Mass in St Mary’s Church, Coolcalm, Desertmartin. Interment followed afterwards in adjoining cemetery.
