McErlean (Maidenhead, Berkshire and formerly Carnaman, Lavey)

26th December 2025 Brian R.I.P.

Brian was a beloved husband to Val. He was a loving father to Bryan Jr, Michelle, Zoe, Lester, Aliysa, Kurt, and Jack. Brian was also a cherished grandfather to Cora, Finlay, Ralph, Joel, and Fredrick.

A Legacy of Family

Brian was the son of the late John Joe and Mary McErlean of Carnaman. He was a devoted brother to Sean, Brendan, Terence, and the late Vera McGuckin. His family meant the world to him, and he dedicated his life to nurturing strong bonds with each member.

The Requiem Mass

A Requiem Mass was held in St. Mary’s Church, Lavey, on Saturday, 24th January 2026, at 11 am. Following the service, Brian’s ashes were interred in the adjoining cemetery. This ceremony will provide an opportunity for family and friends to come together, share memories, and celebrate Brian’s life.

A Time for Reflection

The loss of Brian leaves a profound impact on those who knew him. Sacred Heart of Jesus, have mercy on his soul. He will be deeply regretted by his sorrowing wife, sons, daughters, grandchildren, brothers, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, and the wider family circle.

The Importance of Community Support

During times of bereavement, it is essential to lean on the support of the community. Families often find solace in the shared experiences of others who have faced similar losses. Connecting with local support groups can provide comfort and understanding.

Honouring Brian's Memory

As we gather to honour Brian's memory, it is vital to remember the love and joy he brought into our lives. Sharing stories and memories can help keep his spirit alive. Each anecdote shared is a testament to the impact he had on those around him.

Finding Peace in Grief

Grieving is a personal journey. Each individual experiences it differently. It is important to allow oneself to feel the emotions that arise during this time. Seeking professional support can also be beneficial for those who may struggle to cope.

Conclusion

Brian McErlean's life was a tapestry woven with love, family, and community. His legacy will continue to inspire those who knew him. As we gather to remember him, let us celebrate the moments we shared and the love that will forever remain in our hearts.
