We, the family of the late Sarah Veronica (Vera) McKenna wish to acknowledge the many expressions of sympathy and extend our heartfelt thanks to all who supported us following the sad loss of our much loved mother.
Thank you to those who sent or brought Mass cards and sympathy cards. Thank you also to all those who offered help and provided refreshments or sent food to the house. A huge thank you to all those who attended Vera’s Requiem Mass as well as those who tuned in via webcam at home and abroad. We took great comfort in having so many people support us.
A special word of thanks to Fr Michael McCaul for his monthly visits and for his deeply personal celebration of the Requiem Mass, Fr Sean McGuigan for concelebrating and our PP Fr Peter Madden for his spiritual guidance.
We extend our appreciation to the Church Sacristans, Margaret and Bridget, Gerard’s Flowers for the beautiful church flowers and floral tributes, with that personal touch. Thank you to the musicians for the music provided.
Michael and Nicholas Gormley of J. A. Gormley Funeral Directors, Maghera and Coleraine. we are indebted to you for going the extra mile to get our mother home and for your guidance, care and compassion shown to us throughout the wake and funeral.
Thank you to the gravediggers for preparing our Mother’s final resting place.
We will be forever grateful for all the support and kindness we have received during this difficult time. We hope this acknowledgment will be accepted as a token of our appreciation.
Vera’s Months Mind Mass will be celebrated on Sunday 15th February 2026 at 10am in St. Mary’s Church, Coolcalm.
‘Gone yet not forgotten, although we are apart. Your Spirit lives within us, forever in our hearts’.
