Gerard, Deacon, Gabriel, Gemma Rose together with the McLaughlin and McEldowney Families wish to express their heartfelt thanks and sincere appreciation to all those who sympathised with us during the recent bereavement of Imelda.
We are deeply grateful to everyone who attended the wake, sent Mass and sympathy cards, attended Imelda’s funeral, or shared messages of condolence. Your kindness and comforting words have been a source of strength to us during this difficult time. We also extend our sincere thanks to those who travelled long distances to be with us, and to our neighbours and friends who provided food, flowers, and practical support throughout the wake and funeral.
Our special thanks go to Father Paddy Doherty and Father Kieran O’Doherty for celebrating the Requiem Mass, and for their spiritual support to our family. Grateful thanks also to Sally the sacristan for her help, and to Faoiltiarna Rafferty for the beautiful singing and music.
We would like to acknowledge the generosity of Kelly’s Eurospar, Bradley’s Centra and Crawfords for providing refreshments during the wake and Walsh’s Hotel for both refreshments during the wake and after the funeral.
Sincere thanks to Slaughtneil GAA club for the use of their facilities for the funeral dinner, the ladies committee for organising and serving the dinner. To the Slaughtneil community for their support over very difficult days, the men who helped with lights, car parking, marquee, the ladies providing and serving refreshments during the wake, this kindness will always be remembered.
Our sincere gratitude goes to Michael and Nicholas Gormley of J. A. Gormley Funeral Directors, Maghera and Coleraine, for the dignified and professional manner in which they carried out the funeral arrangements. We also thank those who prepared Imelda’s final resting place, and we are truly grateful for your care, kindness, and personal attention.
As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgment as a token of our heartfelt appreciation and gratitude.
Imelda’s month's mind Mass will be celebrated on Friday 11th September at 7.30pm in St. Patrick’s Church, Glen.
