The acknowledgement of the late Mary Connery

We, the family of the late Mary Connery (née Gormley) would like to express our sincere gratitude to everyone who sympathised with us during our recent loss.

We offer a heartfelt thank you to family, friends, neighbours and everyone who travelled from near and far to our family home to attend Mary’s wake, attended her funeral or viewed the funeral on the church webcam. We are grateful to those who sent messages of sympathy and Mass cards. These messages and cards were greatly appreciated. We thank those who provided refreshments and helped during the wake. We would like to thank all who provided dinner in St Mary’s Hall after the funeral.

A special word of thanks to Fr Dermot McGirr for celebrating Mary’s Funeral Mass and for his attentive support to Mary at home during her long illness. Thanks also to Fr Christopher McElwee for concelebrating the Funeral Mass. We thank Carol and Peter for the beautiful music and all who participated in the liturgy.

We want to thank all the carers from Connected Health who were very supportive to us as a family, as well as the Doctors, Nurses and staff of the Diamond Medical Centre Magherafelt and the staff of McGlaughlin's Pharmacy.

Thanks to Michael and Nicholas Gormley of J.A. Gormley Funeral Directors Maghera and Coleraine for the professional and dignified manner in which they carried out the funeral.

We know there were so many people who went above and beyond to help and support us during our bereavement. As it is not possible to thank everyone individually, we trust this acknowledgement is accepted by all.

Mary’s Month Mind Mass took place on Friday 5th May at 11.00am in St Mary’s Church Coolcalm, Desertmartin.
