The acknowledgement of the late Francie Donnelly

We, the family of the late Francie Donnelly thank you for sympathising with our loss. We are grateful to dear family, friends, and neighbours for a heartening wake, for those who travelled, some at great distance and abroad and for bringing food and solace.

Thanks to all who gave us comfort at the funeral, remembering Francie with fondness and regard. We are grateful to Fr Paddy Doherty for support through Francie’s illness and for giving a funeral mass that we will recollect with pride. Thanks to Fr Kieran O’Doherty for concelebrating. We appreciate Bronagh and Sean, the organist, for the lovely singing and music and we are grateful to all those who participated in the mass.

We thank J A Gormley Funeral Directors, Maghera and Coleraine for their sensitive, friendly, and respectful funeral arrangements. Thanks also to Francie’s much-loved club Watty Grahams GAC for facilitating a gathering after the funeral. Kelly’s Maghera for platters provided to the wake and to Brackaghreilly Hall Committee.

Thanks to the NHS carers who attended Francie at home, all the staff and doctors at Maghera Medical Centre and all the medical staff in Antrim Area Hospital, Ward C5 who looked after Francie in his final weeks.

We are grateful for all the kind-hearted words, flowers, cards, and contributions to a fitting send-off.
