Acknowledgement from the family of the late Eugene McRory

We, the family of the late Eugene McRory, wish to express our sincere gratitude for the condolences and kindness extended to us following our bereavement.  We appreciate all those who called at our home, sent Mass cards, sympathy cards, flowers, posted messages of condolences on social media or helped in any way.

Thank you to all our relatives, neighbours, friends and the wider community, that came out to pay their respects, attended the Requiem Mass or joined us via the church webcam.

Thank you to Fr. P Doherty and Fr. K O’Doherty for their pastoral care, visits and for celebrating the funeral mass and burial.  Thank you to the Scor/St. Patrick’s College choir for the beautiful singing and music which added so much to the Requiem Mass.  Thank you to the Sacristan, Eucharistic Ministers and all those who participated in the funeral liturgy.

Our sincere gratitude to all those who helped with Eugene’s care, including the staff of Maghera Medical Centre and Marie Curie.

A special word of thanks to all the carers that attended to Eugene in our home.  He received the most amazing care and attention.

Thank you to Watty Graham’s GAC for the use of their facilities and to the great team of people who gave of their time and looked after us so well.

We wish to thank Michael and Nicholas Gormley of J.A. Gormley Funeral Directors, Maghera & Coleraine for the professional, compassionate and dignified way they carried out all of the funeral arrangements. A word of thanks to the grave diggers in their preparation of Eugene’s final resting place.

Finally, thank you for all the generous donations, in lieu of flowers, to Marie Curie who were very kind and supportive to Eugene and us as a family throughout his illness.

As it is impossible to thank everyone individually, we hope this acknowledgement will be accepted by all with our sincere thanks.

Eugene’s months mind Mass was held on Friday 1st March at 7.30pm in St. Patrick’s Church, Glen. Mass was viewed via: st-patricks-church-maghera - MCN
