John and the entire family of the late Eileen Ryan would like to express our deep appreciation to all those who sympathised and supported us through our recent bereavement.
Our heartfelt thanks go to all of our extended family, many neighbours and friends for their kindness and thoughtfulness, calling at the family home, sending flowers, Mass cards, sympathy cards, letters, bringing food, assisting with traffic arrangements and the shuttle services, helping with catering and sharing messages of compassion across social media platforms. Every message of support and story about mummy and the lives she touched was welcomed and hugely appreciated.
Thanks to those who lined the route of the funeral cortege. We also greatly appreciate all those who attended mummy’s Requiem Mass, those outside the chapel and those who watched the Mass via live stream. Your presence brought great comfort and strength to our family.
We would like to express our deepest gratitude to Karen Cudden, the nurses and healthcare assistants from Marie Curie, the Diamond Medical Practice and the Hospice, Dalriada and District nursing teams for their care and support of mummy during her short illness. Their support and compassion allowed us to look after mummy from home which is something each of us are immensely grateful for.
We would like to thank Fr McGirr, Fr Madden, Fr Donnelly and Fr McElwee who attended to mummy’s spiritual needs while she was ill. A special thank you to Fr McGirr and Fr Madden for their support during the wake and to Fr McGirr for the moving Requiem Mass, together with Fr McGuigan and Fr McCann for concelebrating.
Our heartfelt thanks to Margaret, Church Sacristan, Martina and Marie, Eucharistic Ministers, the Altar Servers, Una Magill for the beautiful music, Devlin Media for arranging the live stream, John and Sean for preparing mummy’s final resting place, Allspec for their help with the marquee, Desertmartin GAC and all those who volunteered their time as stewards, the Tirgan Hall Committee for the use of the hall and car park, both during the wake and for refreshments after mummy’s funeral, and to all those who volunteered their time to help with the funeral dinner. Thank you again for all your help and support.
A special thanks to J.A. Gormley Funeral Directors, Maghera & Coleraine for their dignified professionalism and the care in which they conducted mummy’s funeral arrangements and supported us during that time.
It would be impossible to thank everyone who helped and supported us individually, therefore we hope this acknowledgement will be accepted by all with our sincere thanks and huge appreciation. The holy sacrifice of mass will be offered for your intentions.
Eileen’s months mind mass was celebrated on Friday, 26th January at 7:30 pm in Holy Rosary Church, Draperstown. Mass was viewed from the Parish webcam at https://www.churchservices.tv/draperstown
We warmly invite everyone to join us for refreshments in Tirgan Hall following mass.
Mummy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and mother-in-law. Her kindness touched the lives of many and she will be sorely missed by each and every one of us.
Sacred Heart of Jesus, pray for her. Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for her. St. Pio, pray for her.
