Acknowledgement from the family of the late Rev Fr Patrick O'Connor

The family of the late Fr Patrick O’Connor wish to express sincere thanks to all who sympathised with us in Mexborough, Edlington and Desertmartin on our recent bereavement.

Thanks to all the relatives, friends and neighbours who called at the house, attended funeral Masses, sent Mass cards, posted messages online, sent floral tributes or joined us via the webcam. Your presence and support brought us great comfort.

Thanks to all the medical staff, carers and the Yates Family who cared and supported Fr Paddy during his illness.

We would like to thank Fr McGirr, Fr McElwee, Fr Doherty, Fr McElhennon Fr O'Doherty and Fr McGuigan who concelebrated the Requiem Mass. We thank Moira Kelly for the beautiful music, the sacristan for chapel preparations and the florist for the stunning alter arrangements.

Sincere thanks to J A Gormley Funeral Directors, Maghera and Coleraine for the compassionate, professional and sensitive manner in which they carried out all the funeral arrangements, including bringing Fr Paddy back home to Cullion.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone personally, we trust this acknowledgement will be accepted by all as a token of our wholehearted appreciation.

We did remember Fr Paddy in our prayers at the 7.30pm Vigil Mass on Saturday 29th July 2023 in St Patrick's Church, Keenaught, Desertmartin.
