Acknowledgement from the family of the late Rev Fr Michael F Mullan.

The extended family of the late Fr Michael F Mullan would like to express their sincere appreciation to all who sympathised with in their recent bereavement.
Our sincere thanks to all the medical personal who attended to Fr Michael’s need throughout a prolonged illness. To the doctors and nursing staff at the Scroggy Road practice, the carers who looked after him so well in his home, the doctors and nurses of Altnagelvin hospital, in particular those in wards 40 and 50 and all those who cared for him in his final hours in ward 6B in the Royal Victoria hospital.
We wish to thank Fr Seamus O’Connell who celebrated the Requiem Mass, assisted by Bishop Donal McKeown who represented the clergy of the diocese unable to attend because of Covid restrictions. We thank Mgr McCanny who facilitated our use of Christ the King and Fr Crowley who officiated at the burial in Ballerin. A special word of thanks to Fr Patsy Mullan who faithfully accompanied Fr Michael throughout his illness.
To the many people who expressed their sympathy and support in various ways, Mass cards, telephone calls etc. To those who waited outside the home and church and accompanied the remains to Christ the King and those who paid their respects on the journey to Ballerin and those who waited at the cemetery, all in very inclement weather. To each one of you we say thanks.
We thank Michael and Nicholas of J A Gormley Funeral Directors Maghera for the professional and caring way they carried out the funeral arrangements.
The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for each one’s intentions.
