Acknowledgement from the family of the late Raymond McKee R.I.P.

Updated: Oct 15

The family of the late Raymond McKee (RIP) wish to express their sincere gratitude to all who sympathised with them on the sad loss of a beloved husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend. We appreciate all those who called at the home, supplied food, sent Mass cards, sympathy cards, flowers, telephoned, posted messages of condolence on social media, or helped in any way. Thank you to all our relatives, neighbours, friends, and wider community who came out to pay their respects, attended the Requiem Mass or joined us via the church webcam. A sincere thank you to the members of Raymond’s much loved Desertmartin AOH Div.30 and other AOH members who provided a guard of honour during the funeral procession.

Thank you to Fr. Seamus McGinley for his pastoral care, visits, and for celebrating the funeral mass and burial. Thank you to Patricia Maguire and Rory Madden for the wonderful singing and music which added so much to the requiem mass. Thank you also to the Sacristan, Eucharistic Ministers, and all those who participated in the funeral liturgy.

Our sincere gratitude to Dr Small, Dr Logan, Dr White and Dr McCullough, all the staff in Draperstown Surgery, and the District, Marie Curie and MacMillan nurses who looked after Raymond during his illness. Thank you also to Stephen and the staff in Moneymore Pharmacy for all their help.

We are grateful to our relatives, friends and neighbours who visited Raymond during his illness as this provided great solace and support.

We want to thank Michael and Nicholas Gormley of J.A. Gormley Funeral Directors, Maghera for the professional, compassionate, and dignified way they carried out all the funeral arrangements. A word of thanks to the grave diggers for the tidy job they did in preparing Raymond’s final resting place.

A special word of thanks to Dickie from Young’s Motors Moneymore for providing a vehicle with wheelchair access to allow Raymond’s wife Anne to be part of the funeral procession and attend the mass and burial.

We hope this acknowledgment will be accepted by all as it would be impossible to express our appreciation to each individual.

Raymond’s Month’s Mind Mass was celebrated in St. Michael’s Church Lissan, on Friday 15th October @ 7.30pm and was viewed via the church webcam on: https://www.mcnmedia.tv/camera/st-michaels-lissan

Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on his soul.
