Acknowledgement from the family of the late Mary Teresa Convery

We, the family of the late Mary Teresa Convery, express our sincere gratitude for the overwhelming abundance of help, support and care we received during our recent bereavement. Our heartfelt thanks go to our extended family, neighbours, friends and well-wishers, many of whom travelled long distances to attend the wake and funeral. We thank those who prayed, sent Mass and sympathy cards, telephoned, sent flowers, attended the funeral home or funeral in person and online.
We are truly grateful for the spiritual care and support received from Fr. Paddy Doherty, Fr. Kieran O’Doherty and Fr. Eddie Kilpatrick and for celebrating Mary’s funeral Mass. A special word of appreciation to Pat and Sean McKenna for providing the music and to Ciara Kelly of Pure Poetry, for the beautiful poem written in tribute which added so much to the Requiem Mass. Thanks to those who prepared the grave and to the Sacristan. Thanks also to the owners and staff of the Oakleaf Restaurant, Maghera, for providing refreshments following the funeral.
We greatly appreciate the professional care which Mary received from the nursing and medical staff of Draperstown Surgery and Holywell Hospital. A special thanks to the doctors and nurses of Antrim Area hospital Ward A6, to whom we are indebted for the abundant care and kindness shown to Mary during her final days.
We also thank the past staff and owners of Noone’s of Maghera, for their continued friendship to Mary over the years, and to Mary’s many neighbours and friends and the wardens from Mullagh Court, for the support and kindness shown to Mary during her time there.
Thank you to Michael and Nicholas Gormley of J.A. Gormley Funeral Directors, Maghera and Coleraine for their advice and efficient, professional and sensitive handling of all arrangements.
Although impossible to individually thank all those whose kindness and thoughtfulness has brought such comfort at this sad time, we trust that this acknowledgement will be accepted as a token of our wholehearted appreciation.
The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for the intentions of all.
The Month’s Mind Mass for Mary was celebrated in St Patrick’s Church, Glen, Maghera on Friday 29th September at 7.30pm.
