Acknowledgement from the family of the late Mary Dougan R.I.P.

Updated: May 13

We, the family of the late Mary Dougan R.I.P. wish to express our heartfelt thanks to all those who sympathised with us in our recent bereavement.

We would like to thank our relatives, friends, and neighbours for all their help during the wake and funeral.

To all those who called at the house, sent messages and cards, telephoned, lined the route of the funeral cortege, attended the funeral in person or via the webcam, your presence and support was greatly appreciated.

Sincere thanks to Fr. Paddy Doherty P.P. and Fr. Kieran O’Doherty C.C. for their spiritual support throughout mammy’s illness and for concelebrating the Funeral Liturgy and Mass.

A special word of thanks to Fr. Hugh Lagan SMA and Fr. John Gallagher SMA for celebrating the beautiful Funeral Liturgy and Requiem Mass and to all the concelebrating SMA priests who joined them, it meant so much to us.

We gratefully appreciate all those who helped in any way to make both services so fitting and dignified.

Thank you to Sally McKeown the sacristan for preparing the church and to John McKee and the groundsmen for preparing mammy’s final resting place.

Our gratitude is also extended to the doctors, nurses and staff of Maghera Medical Centre, The Community Respiratory Team, Magherafelt, and the staff of Glasses Pharmacy.

Thank you to Michael and Nicholas Gormley of J.A. Gormley Funeral Directors, Maghera, for the caring, dignified and professional way they carried out the funeral arrangements.

Sincere thanks also for the donations given to The Third World Charity Shop, Maghera.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, we hope this acknowledgement will be accepted as a token of our sincere appreciation. The Holy Sacrifice of Mass will be offered for all your intentions.

The Month’s Mind Mass for Mary was celebrated on Friday 13th May at 7:30pm, in St. Patrick’s Church Glen, Maghera. Mass was viewed via webcam at: https://www.mcnmedia.tv/camera/st-patricks-church-maghera
