Acknowledgement from the family of the late Mary Donnelly R.I.P.
Updated: Jan 31
The extended family of the late Mary Donnelly (R.I.P) formally of Hunters Park, Bellaghy wish to sincerely thank all of those who sympathised with us on the sudden and untimely, sad loss of Mary. We realise these are strange times and it is difficult for our community not to be able to pay their respects in the traditional manner.
We thank all those who telephoned, sent sympathy cards and texts, lined the route of the funeral cortege and joined us either via webcam or sat outside in their cars at the chapel car-park. In addition we thank Mary’s neighbours. Your support has been a source of great comfort to us.
Special Thanks given to Fr Martin McErlane for his spiritual support and celebration of the requiem mass and to Fr Dolan also. To the sacristan and also to the Gribben sisters for the beautiful singing. To Brian McKay for all his help and support.
A special thank you to Michael Gormley and the staff of J.A Gormley Funeral directors, Maghera for the support and professional, dignified manner in which they carried out the funeral arrangements and also to the gravediggers.
We would especially like to extend our thanks to Mary’s friend Heather for all the kind deeds she did for Mary over the years. We are truly grateful. As it is impossible to thank everyone individually we trust that this acknowledgement will be accepted as a token of our sincere appreciation.
Mary’s months mind mass was celebrated via webcam on Saturday 30th January at 6:30pm in St. Mary’s church Bellaghy. https://bellaghyparish.com/webcam/
Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on her gentle soul.
