Acknowledgement from the family of the late Margaret Saxon (née Lagan) R.I.P.
Updated: Apr 6
The family of the late Margaret Saxon (née Lagan) would like to sincerely thank our wonderful family, friends and carers for their kindness and love given to our mother and ourselves, before and after her death.
We would like to thank Father Charles Keaney, P.P. of St John the Baptist church (Granaghan chapel) Swatragh, who conducted the requiem mass for her, and together with Maisie Stewart gave our mother such joy with the Holy Eucharist each Sunday.
We were deeply moved by the wonderful singing at her funeral service by her cousin James McKeagney and Sophie Shiels. And we are grateful to our family who carried her coffin to its final resting place in Granaghan chapel graveyard, close to her parents, brothers and sisters.
We pay tribute to Mickey Gormley of J A Gormley Funeral Directors Maghera for the beautiful and sensitive manner in which he carried out our mother’s last wishes by giving her the funeral that she had prayed for.
For those who could not be present in the chapel, we are so appreciative that our cousin Liam Lagan recorded the funeral service at https://youtu.be/WQhHjvjhe7U
We wish to thank everyone who sent Mass cards, letters, sympathy cards and beautiful flowers. They are a comforting blanket of love over our dear mother. May God Bless her, and may she rest in peace.
