Updated: Nov 21, 2021
The family of the late Margaret McBride wish to express their heartfelt gratitude and sincere thanks to everyone who sympathised with them on their recent bereavement.
We would especially like to thank Fr Peter Madden PP and Fr Dermott McGirr CC for their pastoral care to Margaret over the years and wish to express our gratitude to Fr Dermott for his visits during Margaret’s illness, for celebrating her requiem mass and for the graveside prayers.
The family would like to thank the church sacristans Margaret and Bridget for preparing the church and to the choir members Angela, Julie and Anthony who provided such beautiful music and singing at Margaret’s funeral.
To Margaret’s dedicated team of carers who helped the family care for Margaret, we say a special thank you. We would also like to say a huge thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff of Garden Street and Bellaghy Surgeries for attending to Margaret’s medical needs, to the staff of O’Brien’s and McGlaughlin’s pharmacies and to Dalriada Out of Hours response team for their assistance in recent weeks.
To all those who called at her home, sent mass and sympathy cards, telephoned us, gathered outside her home and the church as Margaret’s remains made the journey to St Mary’s Church, Coolcalm and to everyone who attended her funeral we thank you sincerely and appreciate the efforts made to comply with current covid restrictions. We would also like to express our gratitude to all those who travelled long distances to attend the funeral and to the many people who viewed the funeral mass online.
We will forever be indebted for the exceptional kindness shown to Margaret over the years by her dear neighbours, relatives, friends and carers.
Finally, we wish to thank J A Gormley Funeral Directors, Maghera for the professional and dignified manner in which they carried out their duties and to the grave digger, John O’Neill who meticulously prepared Margaret’s final resting place.
As it is impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our heartfelt appreciation and thanks to all. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for all your intentions.
