Acknowledgement from the family of the late James Patrick (Jim) McKay

We, the family of the late James Patrick (Jim) McKay wish to express our sincere gratitude to all those who sympathised with us during our recent bereavement.

A special thanks to our relatives, friends and neighbours for all their kindness and support. To everyone who attended the wake, brought and sent mass and sympathy cards, flowers, food and to everyone who attended the funeral or joined us via the webcam, we thank you.

Our thanks also to the Doctors and District Nursing Team of Maghera Medical Centre for the care and support provided to Jim during his short illness, enabling him to spend his final weeks at home surrounded by family. A word of thanks also to the staff of Harkin’s Pharmacy.

We would like to thank Fr Paddy Doherty and Fr Kieran O’Doherty who celebrated Requiem Mass for Jim, and for all their pastoral support. We thank Thomasina for the beautiful singing and for all those who participated in the liturgy, as well as the piper who provided very fitting music to the grave and at the graveside. We are grateful to the sacristan and to the grave digger who prepared the grave. We are also grateful to Fallaghloon Hall Committee for the use of their equipment, it was much appreciated.

Sincere thanks to Michael and Nicholas Gormley of J.A. Gormley Funeral Directors Maghera and Coleraine, for the professional and dignified manner in which they carried out the funeral arrangements.

As it is impossible to thank everyone individually, we trust this acknowledgement will be accepted by all as a token of our sincere appreciation and gratitude.
