Acknowledgement from the family of the late HUGH MCCLOSKEY (PHONSEY)

HUGH MCCLOSKEY (PHONSEY) 24th January 2023 Lisnascreghog, Glenullin

The family of the late Phonsey McCloskey, wishes to acknowledge the many expressions of sympathy and gestures of kindness shown to us following our sad loss.

We offer our heartfelt thanks to the many friends, neighbours and well-wishers who visited our home, attended the wake, funeral, and burial and to those who provided emotional and practical support at this difficult time. For those who telephoned, travelled long distances, sent floral tributes, cards and messages of condolences – we are truly grateful. A special word of thanks to the management, nurses, and care staff of Milesian Manor Nursing Home for their kindness and respect shown to Phonsey whilst in their care.

A special thanks also to all those who took part in the Funeral Mass – Fr Crowley, the readers and to Peter Slevin and Molly Maguire for the beautiful music.

We would like to express our gratitude to J A Gormley Funeral Directors, Maghera & Coleraine for their sensitive and professional handling of arrangements. To the grave diggers, Glenullin GAC (for the use of their premises for the Funeral Tea), to Colm & Brenda Bradley and staff from the Vines for providing refreshments and indeed to all who contributed in any way which made our loss more bearable.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our deepest gratitude.

The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass was offered for your intentions. Phonsey’s Month Mind Mass took place in St Joseph’s Church, Glenullin on Saturday 25th February 2023 @ 6.00 pm.
