We, the family of the late Eugene (Gene) Devlin, would like to sincerely thank all those who sympathised and supported us through the loss of our father. We offer our heartfelt thanks to all our family, friends, neighbours and community for all the help provided during the wake and funeral.
We extend our thanks to everyone who attended the wake and funeral; left food, sent mass cards, letters & cards of sympathy and comments on social media. We wish to convey our gratitude to those who travelled long distances to be with us. Thank you to all the local businesses that left refreshments during the wake and provided food for after the funeral; it was very much appreciated.
We wish to express our sincere gratitude to the Maghera Medical Centre especially Dr McNeill, Dr Shaw and all the district nursing team. A massive thank you to all the respiratory nurses, hospice, Marie Curie carers and nurses who supported Gene through difficult times. We want to thank the carers from Northern Health Social Care Trust Homecare Team and Ann's Carers who were a great assistance to both Dad and ourselves. We would also like to thank Harkin's Chemist for their support.
We are especially grateful to our Club Watty Grahams Glen for their exceptional support during this difficult time, offering both emotional and practical assistance. From the road stewards to those who prepared & served food at the Glen Centre, your efforts have been invaluable in supporting our family. We are truly thankful.
A special word of thanks to Fr. Paddy Doherty and Fr. Kiernan O'Doherty for celebrating the requiem mass. Thank you to Una McGill for the beautiful music, to Sally for preparing the Church and the gravedigger for his professional job on our father’s grave.
Special thanks to Michael and Nicholas of J. A. Gormley funeral Directors for the professional and dignified manner in which they carried out the funeral arrangements.
As it is impossible to thank everyone individually please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our deepest gratitude.
Eugene's (Gene's) months mind was celebrated on Friday 21st February in St. Patrick's Church, Glen at 7:30pm.
