Acknowledgement from the family of the late Bridget Leyden R.I.P.
Updated: Feb 4
We, the family of the late Bridget Leyden RIP, would sincerely like to thank all those who sympathised with us at the time of mum’s death. We wish to express our heartfelt thanks for all the help, support and generosity we received during our sad bereavement. We appreciate and thank all those who called at home, telephoned, sent Mass cards, sympathy cards, posted messages of condolences on social media, floral tributes, brought food or helped in any way. Thank you to the many friends, neighbours, businesses and the wider community who lined the route of the funeral cortege to pay their respects, attended Requiem Mass in person or joined via the church webcam.
Appreciation and thanks go to Fr Paddy Doherty and Fr Kieran Doherty for the lovely Requiem Mass. A special word of appreciation to Hannah Ferguson for her beautiful music.
Our grateful thanks are extended to the staff of Maghera Medical Centre, from the receptionists to the doctors and the district Nurses, and to the carers who visited the house everyday over the past number of years. We cannot thank you enough for your dedication, compassion, support and kindness during mum’s illness.
Thank you to Michael and Nicholas of J.A. Gormley, Funeral Directors, Maghera for their professional, compassionate and dignified service during such a difficult time. Also the gravedigger for doing such a beautiful job.
We hope this acknowledgment will be accepted by all as it would be impossible to express our appreciation individually.
Mum's Month’s Mind Mass was celebrated in St Patrick Church, Glen at 7.30 pm on Friday 4th February 2022. As attendance will be restricted in line with Covid 19 guidelines, the Mass was streamed live on the church webcam.
