Acknowledgement from the family of the late Barry Duffy

We, the family of the late Barry Duffy wish to express our sincere appreciation to all those who sympathised with us during our recent bereavement.

We would like to thank our family, friends and neighbours for all their kindness and unwavering support during the difficult days following Barry’s sudden passing. Your strength, poise and physical support helped us navigate a way through the darkest of days.

We would like to thank all those who attended the wake, sent messages of sympathy, mass cards, flowers, attended the funeral and watched online – your presence, condolences and kind words were felt and greatly appreciated by the family.

We’d also like to thank our extended family and close friends for providing refreshments throughout the wake and for your unwavering care towards the family during this sad time, we will be eternally grateful.

A special thanks to Fr Doherty for his spiritual support and guidance throughout the wake and for celebrating Barry’s poignant Requiem Mass. Thank you to Niamh McGlinchey for the beautiful singing and music, to the Church Sacristan for ably assisting and to those who prepared the grave. Thank you also to the Oakleaf restaurant for hosting the refreshments following the funeral.

Finally, a sincere thanks to Michael & Nicholas from J A Gormley Funeral Directors, Maghera and Coleraine for their professional, compassionate and intuitive support in preparing for, and carrying out Barry’s funeral.

As it is not possible to individually thank all those whose kindness and consideration brought much comfort, we trust this acknowledgement will be accepted by all with heartfelt thanks.
