Acknowledgement from the family of the late Anthony O'Kane

Lorraine and the family of the late Anthony O’Kane wish to express their sincere heartful thanks to all who sympathised with them during their recent bereavement.

Thank you for all the messages of love and support sent from family, friends and neighbours near and far and for their continued support at this difficult time.

We extend our gratitude to everyone who attended Anthony’s funeral, all who sent Mass and sympathy cards and who left such lovely social media comments.

We express our gratitude to both the Causeway and Antrim Area Hospital (Ward C5), the doctors and nurses and caring staff who took care of Anthony during the months of his illness.

We extend our thanks to Maghera Medical Centre, to Dr Faulkner and to the staff of Harkin’s Chemist.

A special thank you to NHSCT homecare team and to the Diamond District Nursing Team who took such care and dignity when Anthony came home. Thanks to the Marie Curie nurses for their support and compassion.

A special word of thanks to Fr .Paddy Doherty, Fr. Kieran O’Doherty and Fr. Eamon Graham for concelebrating the Requiem Mass. Thank you to Hannah Ferguson who sang beautifully.

Thank you to Walsh’s Hotel for the refreshments after the funeral.

A special word of thanks to Michael and Nicholas of J. A. Gormley Funeral Directors Maghera and Coleraine for their advice and respectful handling of all the funeral arrangements.

As it is impossible to thank everyone, please accept this acknowledgement as a sincere expression of our deepest gratitude.

Anthony’s month mind Mass was celebrated on Friday 2nd May at 7.30pm in St. Patrick’s Church, Glen.
